02/03 - ALOHA Lite shown in Ottawa

Responding to customer demand, the ALOHA team has made available a lite version of the full ALOHA metadata markup, indexing and publishing tool. This version presents the user with a simple form-based interface using the most popular fields from the IMS metadata schema. As with the more advanced version, users can markup any media dragged onto the program and save or publish their educational objects to CAREO with a single click. ALOHA Lite is now available for download.

THIS WEEK "IN THE NMC SPOTLIGHT"

Among Calgary's contributions to the project has been the development of a new tool for metatagging and inter-repository communications called ALOHA which makes extensive use of an xml-rpc communications layer.
